"Honest Services" Statute (12/8/2009)Terry was on WGN speaking about the upcoming U.S. Supreme Court battle over the "honest services" statute (a broad anti-corruption law); the statute used in the indictment against former Gov. Rod Blagojevich. The U.S. Attorney’s office has indicated they aren’t taking any chances and will be filing a new indictment against Blago that doesn’t use the “honest services” statute as its central thesis. Should the Supreme Court rule as expected, convictions against some individuals such as Conrad Black, Jeffrey Skilling and Betty Lauren-Maltese will be in jeopardy. Tiger Woods Incident (12/2/2009)Last night on WGN, Terry talked about the media coverage surrounding Tiger Woods after the late night accident outside his Florida home. He discussed the implications of the traffic ticket and the events that led to the police being called to his home.
